We have all thought about what qualities might be inherent in a leader. Centered qualities such as courage, compassion, wit, and wisdom versus surface qualities such as charm, good looks, status, and dominance would come to my mind. Yet, when you think about leaders who have used their qualities to "force" their ways upon masses of individuals, you might even observe centered qualities such as courage in these types of leaders. So, what distinguishes these infamous leaders from true leaders if they all have courage and other similar qualities?

Leadership.

Leadership distinguishes individuals who dare to lead the way becasue of one main difference. They are inspired to make a difference by serving humanity in such a way that their efforts will make the world a better place for everyone to enjoy and value.

It takes great courage to lead any endeavor, but leadership carries a flag that embodies a true leader's desire to serve others - just because. No hidden agenda.

Leadership will inspire a true leader to expand their greatness so that 1.) they will experience a richer, and more rewarding life while on earth, and 2.) they will be advancing a legacy in leadership which will serve humanity with their greatness. Greatness can be a small daily deed of kindness, or it can be tearing down the Berlin Wall. Each act of leadership is equally significant in each circumstance.

True leaders - whether famous or private - are bred from a lifestyle of leadership which is balanced in spirit, mind, body, family, work, and society. Again, their hallmark is distinguishable by their natural desire to serve humanity in making the world a better place to live. This is the essence of leadership, celebrating the centered qualities of humanity toward fuller expression of our rich and greater potentials as we experience this beautiful moment called,
life.
