Last time, I gave you some advice about what to write about in your e-zine or newsletter, and we talked about what your clients might like to read.
Now, look at yourself and your business. What would you like people to know?
1. Teach them a business tool that works for you. People like informative articles that offer practical tips. Do you have a useful hint that will help them with their business?
2. Talk about an experience you had that taught you something important about business, gave you a new perspective or changed the way you approach life. People, especially small business owners and entrepreneurs, like to read about other people and be privy to their stories.
3. Share something you learned at a recent seminar, workshop or conference. Usually, when I go to a workshop, I come back loaded with new ideas and info. You might talk about an industry trend, the latest software program or how a motivational speaker changed the way you approach your business.
4. Give your readers something to ponder. Promote your viewpoint on something that impacts their lives.
Whatever you decide to write about, keep it light, concise and relevant.
